About the position

The CAD Drafter/Detailer position involves drafting unique products based on general 3D drawings and producing accurate plans, fabrication documents, and setup drawings. The role is crucial for ensuring the functionality, reliability, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of products in a local manufacturing company specializing in custom designs.

Responsibilities

• Draft unique products from general 3D drawings.
• Produce accurate plans including plan, elevation, and isometric views.
• Create fabrication documents and setup drawings.
• Generate utility and communication prints.
• Ensure the functionality, reliability, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of each product.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or training in CAD field of study from a college or trade school; 2 years of relevant experience in CAD design within construction will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 3 years of experience in construction detailing.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling in AutoCAD.
