This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the drafting and design industry. The role is based in West Springfield, MA, and requires applicants to work on-site from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive on-the-job training for the first 1-2 weeks, ensuring they are well-prepared for their responsibilities. After the training period, the CAD Drafter will join a team led by a Quality Control (QC) Specialist, where they will engage in AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting work. This position is ideal for those who are eager to learn and grow within the field of drafting, as it provides a solid foundation for a long-term career in this area.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-the-job training for the first 1-2 weeks.
• Perform AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting work under the guidance of a QC Specialist.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and accuracy in drafting tasks.
• Learn and adapt to new software and tools as required.
• Maintain a fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or completed GED.
• Experience using CAD to some extent, or a strong interest in learning CAD software.
• Desire to work in a drafting role long-term.
• Open to learning new software and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's Degree or certificate in CAD is a bonus.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS is a bonus.
