The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Drafter III will play a crucial role in supporting the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I)/Information Technology (IT) electronic systems equipment and infrastructure. This position involves engineering, design, installation, and supply and warehouse support to the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific). The CAD Drafter III will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and transition to operations of the IT infrastructure across multiple facilities throughout the performance period. The services required include the design, installation, termination, testing, and documentation of desktop devices, peripherals, IT cable plant, racks, and power distribution units (PDU) related to the installation of C4I/IT electronic systems. The role also includes the installation of C4I/IT electronic systems equipment as assigned, adhering to government installation design plans (IDP), the NIWC Pacific Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH), and project sponsor processes along with associated logistical support. The work environment is primarily within existing classified office spaces, IT data centers, telecommunications spaces, or other designated areas for housing C4I/IT electronics systems equipment, including newly constructed secure buildings. The technical requirements for this position are applicable across multiple United States Space Command (USSC) and USSC Component Command Locations in the Colorado Springs area. As a federal contractor, CNI maintains a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act. The CAD Drafter III must possess and maintain a current TS clearance, with SCI eligibility being highly preferred. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and qualified in the use of the latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, along with other technical drafting and illustration software to create various types of plans and technical illustrations for the preparation of all drawings. Familiarity with telecommunications, AV, telecommunications cabling, and general engineering guidelines and design for OSP and ISP spaces is essential.
