The CAD/Drafter position located in Jolon-Fort Hunter, CA, is a critical role that involves providing configuration management functional support for the planning, design, implementation, installation, operation, and maintenance (O&M) of Communications and Information Technology systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating detailed drawings of all information systems circuits, lines, and systems using the Government's Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) program. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics. In addition to drafting responsibilities, the CAD/Drafter will maintain a comprehensive web-based information database that includes complex maps, cable and fiber configurations, as well as digital and hard copy sketches, diagrams, drawings, photographs, databases, and tables. This database will be configured in a database management system, ensuring that all information is organized and easily accessible for future reference. The use of AUTOCAD computer-aided drafting software and Bluebeam REVU will be essential in providing high-quality drafting services that meet the standards required by the government. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in CAD/Drafting, along with a Secret level security clearance. This role is vital for ensuring that all documentation and drawings are accurate and up-to-date, which is crucial for the effective operation of communication and information technology systems.
