About the position

We are seeking a skilled Solid Works CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating detailed drawings and schematics using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to bring concepts to life.

Responsibilities

• Develop and draft detailed schematics and technical drawings using CAD software, including SolidWorks, Revit, and NavisWorks.
• Create 2D animations and visual representations of designs to assist in project presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications for mechanical design.
• Utilize Sketchup for conceptual designs and preliminary layouts.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings, making revisions as necessary based on feedback from team members.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
• Assist in the build process by providing necessary drawings and specifications to the construction team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Revit, NavisWorks, and Sketchup is required.
• Experience in mechanical design drafting with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to create detailed schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus.
• A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
