We are currently seeking an entry-level CAD Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our Warrington, PA office. This role primarily involves contributing to our Site/Civil projects by assisting with essential drafting functions. As a CAD Technician, you will perform CAD drafting using survey field data and assist in preparing Site/Civil drawings, including grading, utility, and erosion and sedimentation (E&S) plans. You will also help prepare various site/civil details and exhibits, provide office support by performing area, slope, and volume computations, and ensure that scheduling and productivity objectives are met. Fieldwork may be required on an as-needed basis, which includes observing construction and assisting surveyors, as well as obtaining relevant field data and measurements. You will utilize this data to create and adjust workable construction blueprints, and you should be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CAD Drafting while utilizing survey field data.
  • Assist with the preparation of Site/Civil drawings including grading, utility, and E&S plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.
  • Provide office support; this includes performing area, slope, and volume computations.
  • Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
  • Perform field work on an as-needed basis; this includes observing construction and assisting Surveyors.
  • Assist with obtaining relevant field data & measurements.
  • Utilize relevant data when creating / adjusting workable construction blueprints.
  • Work indoors as well as outdoors as required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!
  • Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus (but we are willing to train individuals who are willing to learn)!
  • Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!
