About the position

The CAD Drafter position at CL Construction, LLC involves creating, updating, and modifying AutoCAD drawings specifically for millwright and concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing both 2-D and 3-D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Advance Steel. This role requires the ability to handle complex design draft assignments with minimal supervision, ensuring that all drawings meet the specifications provided by clients and adhere to industry standards. The drafter will work closely with field personnel to explain drawings and ensure that the designs are accurately implemented on-site. In addition to technical drawing skills, the position demands strong critical thinking abilities to interpret written and verbal specifications effectively. The drafter will need to incorporate existing structure and system information into new drawings, whether as additions or alterations to meet customer specifications. The majority of the work will focus on construction projects that involve foundations, grain bins, metal buildings, concrete buildings, and millwright equipment. Responsibilities

• Create, update, and modify AutoCAD drawings for millwright and concrete construction projects.
• Produce both 2-D and 3-D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and Advance Steel.
• Handle complex design draft assignments with minimal supervision.
• Incorporate existing structure and system information into new drawings.
• Create layout drawings based on project specifications.
• Explain drawings to field personnel to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
• Use existing survey information to create new drawings.
• Copy project drawings as needed.

Requirements

• Previous AutoCAD experience.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
• Thorough understanding of the Agricultural Construction Industry (Concrete and Millwright preferred).
• Growth-oriented mindset, always looking for ways to advance and improve.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong technological skills.
• AutoCAD Drafter Certification (preferred).
• Associates, Bachelors, or equivalent experience in Construction Design/AutoCAD certification.

Nice-to-haves
