About the position

SAK Construction is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to join our team in O'Fallon, MO. This position is crucial for the preparation of detailed drawings and specifications using Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems. The ideal candidate will utilize SolidWorks to create precise tablet and tool drawings tailored to specific project needs. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical drawing and design principles, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop floor documentation, and customer specifications. In this position, you will work closely with production planning to ensure designs are optimized for cost and fabrication efficiency. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel, is essential for creating and utilizing various electronic forms. The CAD Drafter will also leverage their knowledge of machines, engineering practices, and building materials to produce comprehensive fabrication drawings. This role requires a minimum of an Associate's degree in drafting and/or design, along with at least two years of relevant experience in drafting, CAD, and SolidWorks. Requirements
