About the position

The Project Drafter at Imperial Stone Corporation is responsible for creating technical drawings using AutoCAD software to assist in the design and construction of various stone products. This role involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and detailed drawings that meet project specifications. The position requires a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Designs plans and shop drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Coordinates the collection of data and incorporates information into drawings.
  • Consults and communicates with architects, engineers, designers, and project managers while preparing and presenting multiple variations of drawings.
  • Specifies dimensions, materials, and procedures for projects and products.

Requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards.
  • Advanced mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and navigate plans and specifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) credential.
