About the position

The CAD Draftsman Intern position at Kapsch offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in engineering to gain hands-on experience in the field of product engineering. The intern will support the engineering team by assisting in the development of drawing packages for commercial projects, utilizing CAD software to create schematics and diagrams that depict mechanical components and systems. This role is designed for individuals looking to enhance their technical skills while contributing to innovative mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist CAD Draftsman in developing drawing packages for commercial projects.
• Perform schematic capture of mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
• Create orthographic and angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies.
• Build and maintain block and parts databases.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a University Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Completion of at least the second year of courses.
• 3.0 GPA and in good academic standing.
• Knowledge of Auto-CAD or Solid Works.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Jira Ticket system.
