About the position

The CAD Draftsman Intern position at Kapsch TrafficCom North America offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in engineering to gain hands-on experience in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems. The intern will support the Product Engineering team by assisting in the development of drawing packages for commercial projects, contributing to schematic capture, and maintaining databases of components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assist CAD Draftsman in developing drawing packages for commercial projects.
• Perform schematic capture of mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
• Create orthographic or angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies for Kapsch Tolling projects.
• Build and maintain block and parts databases.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a University Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Completion of at least the second year of courses.
• 3.0 GPA and in good academic standing.
• Knowledge of Auto-CAD or Solid Works.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Jira Ticket system.
