About the position
The CAD Draftsman/Surveyor position is a part-time role focused on surveying and drafting in the HVAC industry. The primary responsibilities include measuring existing conditions in commercial buildings and creating accurate drafts based on those measurements. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with the ability to interpret various design drawings.
Responsibilities
- Survey and measure existing conditions in commercial buildings for plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Send survey notes via email on the same day of the survey.
- Create hand sketches as needed for documentation.
- Read and interpret mechanical HVAC, sprinkler, and plumbing design drawings.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Professional training or trade school background in CAD, engineering, or drafting.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical HVAC, sprinkler, and plumbing design drawings.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Matterport Scan App or iPhone.
- Knowledge of mechanical HVAC duct shop drawings.
- Familiarity with Revit.
