About the position

Westway Homes is a leading production home builder specializing in creating high-quality, energy-efficient homes. The Draftsperson will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate construction drawings and plans for single-family homes using CAD software such as AutoCad. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that all plans meet company standards and local building codes. The Draftsperson will build and draft models for construction projects and review and modify designs to correct any errors.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in drafting, preferably in residential construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCad.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and plan development.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with production home building processes is a plus.
