About the position

The role involves architecting and supporting automation solutions for a complex system used in analysis, QA, and release processes for a large set of IPs within Apple's Silicon Technologies group. The position focuses on creating specifications, planning, and executing activities in collaboration with CAD and design teams to enhance the efficiency of design workflows and ensure high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and supporting automation solutions to reduce design workload.
• Supporting and enhancing an in-house UI for visualizing and monitoring large workloads.
• Developing utilities to extract, track, and manage metrics data from analysis flows.
• Creating rich dashboards for design teams to access detailed design information.
• Specifying and developing utilities to check data consistency and quality of design analysis results.
• Collaborating with multiple CAD/design teams to integrate their flows and develop robust QA processes.

Requirements

• Knowledge of VLSI design fundamentals and design flows for custom and ASIC designs.
• Programming experience in Perl or Python.
• Understanding of basic ML algorithms and LLM fundamentals.
• Minimum of a BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
