About the position

CTI Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to work in their Akron, Ohio office. This full-time position involves utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to create design drawings, figures, and maps for various municipal infrastructure projects. The role requires collaboration with Project Managers and engineers, as well as field survey assistance and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with assigned engineer(s) to assist in development of designs and preparation of studies and reports.
• Prepare drawings, figures, or base maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D & Revit.
• Assist in field surveys and reduction of field survey data.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for cost estimates.
• Interpret, manipulate, and plot field survey and topographic data.
• Develop and utilize three-dimensional terrain models to produce cross-sections and volume computations.
• Prepare easement and property descriptions and drawings.
• Obtain deed and tax map information as needed.

Requirements

• Associates degree in drafting/design and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must present valid United States work authorization.
