About the position

The CAD Technician/Drafter position at TekOne IT Services Pvt. Ltd. involves providing mechanical and engineering support in the development of instrumentation and clinical analyzers utilized in hospital and laboratory applications. The role requires the preparation of clear, complete, and accurate detailed drawings derived from rough sketches, detailed design change requests (DCRs), or notes. The technician will analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine essential design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Additionally, the position entails preparing product or system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, change orders, and bills of materials. Candidates should possess basic skills in mechanical design development and have knowledge in creating engineering drawings for plastic parts, sheet metal, and standard machining. A strong proficiency in computer systems is essential, particularly with CAD software such as SolidWorks, as well as familiarity with file transfer methods, 2D and 3D file formats, and the interrelationships within a networked design environment. The ideal candidate will have a two-year certification in drafting from a college or technical school, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant practical experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Two-year certification in drafting from college or technical school.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant, practical experience in CAD drafting.
• Basic skills in the development of mechanical design.
• Knowledge in creating engineering drawings of plastic parts, sheet metal, and standard machining.
• Exceptional grasp on computer systems with a strong focus on CAD (SolidWorks).
