About the position
The CAD Technician position at Shenandoah Furniture involves operating the Lectra marker system using Formaris and Diamino software. This role is essential for supporting the Lectra cutting machines and is suited for candidates who thrive in a hands-on, production-focused environment and enjoy collaborative problem-solving. The technician will work closely with cutting machine operators and the Product Development team to ensure efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Enter CAD patterns into the system, aligning markers manually and digitally for production readiness.
- Produce markers by applying fabrics to frames with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cutting machine operators to apply markers, troubleshoot issues, and enhance workflow.
- Work closely with the Product Development team to support ongoing projects and development initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and provide additional support to the Cutting Supervisor as needed.
Requirements
- Experience as a CAD Technician, preferably with Lectra marker systems.
- Proficiency in Diamino and Formaris software.
- Additional knowledge of Solid Edge software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment within a cutting department; some roll lifting may be necessary.
