About the position

Planet Obstacle is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join their café team as Cashiers. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, handling food preparation, and managing transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet the Guests
• Provide food/menu information
• Food prep and serving with prior experience with food handling preferred
• Complete sales transactions and handle cash
• Maintain cleanliness of serving area, kitchen, seating area
• Stock food and concessions inventory
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the cafe
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Availability nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness and ability to learn new POS software
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively and professionally convey information to others
• Highly adaptable with the ability to work under pressure
• Ensure accuracy of guest food orders
• Follow all food handling and food safety procedures
• Ability to handle money
• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• High school degree
