About the position

The Café Attendant is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to guests at the café, including cooking, serving food and beverages, and operating as a Barista. This part-time position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.
• Build relationships with guests by answering menu questions and making beverage suggestions.
• Take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Prepare beverages, including coffee drinks and smoothies, following standard recipes.
• Serve food and beverages to guests at their tables indoors or outdoors.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and return correct change to guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following sanitation standards.
• Keep equipment clean and operational, reporting any needed repairs to a supervisor.
• Encourage guests to explore other services within the resort.
• Work nights and weekends as needed for events.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year related experience preferred.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and read simple instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a customer service role in a food service environment.
• Knowledge of coffee and smoothie preparation techniques.
