About the position

The Cafeteria Associate Relief at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the cafeteria setting. This role involves engaging with customers, preparing and serving food, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining areas. The position is designed to support the cafeteria operations on an as-needed basis, ensuring that all customers receive quality service and food offerings.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and staff with outstanding customer service.
• Greet all customers with a smile and positive attitude.
• Assist customers as needed, particularly those on limited lunch breaks or visitors in critical situations.
• Prepare, serve, and maintain quality of hot or cold food items.
• Stock food items and disposables as assigned.
• Follow and complete daily job routine and cleaning assignments.
• Verify that products have accurate signage and pricing.
• Keep the cafeteria and dining areas clean and organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
