About the position

The Cafeteria Associate at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service within the cafeteria environment. This part-time position involves engaging with customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The associate will be responsible for various tasks including food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness, all while adhering to production deadlines and demonstrating cost-conscious behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and staff while providing outstanding customer service.
• Greet all customers with a smile and positive attitude.
• Assist customers as needed, focusing on meeting their needs during limited lunch breaks or critical situations.
• Operate the POS system efficiently and accurately process customer transactions.
• Prepare, serve, and maintain the quality of hot or cold food items.
• Stock food items and disposables as assigned.
• Follow and complete daily job routines and cleaning assignments.
• Verify that products have accurate signage and pricing.

Requirements

• Prior cash handling experience
• Prior food service experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
