About the position

As the Cage Cashier at McAlester Casino, your primary responsibility will be to manage the payout of winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers. This role requires a high level of accuracy and adherence to casino procedures, as you will be handling large sums of money. You will report directly to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty, ensuring that all transactions are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Your work hours will be from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday through Wednesday, with Thursdays and Fridays off. Additionally, you will have the option for weekly earned wage access, allowing you to access your wages on a weekly basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all required paperwork is signed and included in the shift packets for auditing purposes. You will need to verify customer identification when necessary and ensure that all payouts for tickets over a location-set amount are properly authorized. Your duties will also include answering customer inquiries regarding gaming procedures and payouts, making change at customer requests, and keeping accurate records of all monetary exchanges and transaction reconciliations. You may also be assigned additional tasks as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the casino environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience handling large volumes of cash.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of high-volume cash handling policies.
  • Basic math skills including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.
