About the position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for providing monetary services to casino guests, including exchanging chips, processing cash advances, cashing checks, and managing patron deposit accounts. This role also involves supporting various casino departments and maintaining remote kiosks. The position requires adherence to the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, as well as Internal Control Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide monetary services for casino guests, including exchanging casino chips, coins, and tickets for cash.
• Process advances drawn from credit and debit cards.
• Cash and deposit checks for guests.
• Establish and process transactions for patron deposit accounts.
• Process transactions for patron casino credit accounts.
• Exchange currency, both foreign and domestic, and make change.
• Support other casino departments with monetary services.
• Maintain and support various remote kiosks for guest services.
• Perform duties of a Main Banker, General Cashier Banker, Chip Banker, and Marker Banker.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of previous cashier or money handling experience is required.
• Previous customer service experience required, demonstrating high-level service and resolution skills.
• Basic knowledge of start-up and close-down of cash registers preferred.
• Knowledge of coin counter, coin wrapping machine, and currency counters preferred.
• Must be able to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine and personal computer.
• Effective math skills are required; must pass an SGC-administered math skills test.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary.

• Previous clerical/data entry experience is preferred.
