About the position
The Cage Cashier at Seneca Gaming & Entertainment is responsible for providing monetary services to guests and other casino departments. This includes exchanging tickets for cash, processing credit and debit card transactions, and managing patron deposit accounts. The role also involves maintaining remote kiosks and performing duties associated with Main Banker and General Cashier Banker positions, all while adhering to company policies and internal control standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide monetary services for guests, including exchanging tickets for cash and processing credit/debit card transactions.
- Establish and process transactions for patron deposit accounts.
- Make change and assist other casino departments with monetary services.
- Maintain and support various remote kiosks that service guests and other departments.
- Perform duties of a Main Banker and General Cashier Banker as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of previous cashier or money handling experience required.
- Previous customer service experience is required, demonstrating high-level service and resolution skills.
- Basic knowledge of cash register operations preferred.
- Experience with clerical/data entry tasks preferred.
- Ability to operate office equipment including a 10-key adding machine and personal computer.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous clerical/data entry experience.
- Knowledge of coin counter and currency counters.
