About The Position

Rich Products Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cake Decorator for the 2nd shift. This position is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality ice cream cakes on the production line. The Cake Decorator will utilize various decorating tools to create visually appealing cakes while adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and personal hygiene guidelines. The Cake Decorator will be responsible for creating decorative borders, writing inscriptions, and drawing characters from templates, as well as decorating holiday and specialty items. Communication with Group and Assistant Leaders is crucial, as is the ability to complete re-work for cakes when necessary. The position also involves administering technical training to other cake decorators and temporary associates, providing coverage in other departments as needed, and performing other assigned duties. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and possess the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective communication skills are essential, as the Cake Decorator will need to convey information clearly in both one-on-one and small group settings. Previous cake decorating experience is preferred, but the ability and desire to train other associates is equally important. The physical demands of the job include moderate physical activity, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and continuous standing and walking in a moderately loud environment. The Cake Decorator will work near moving mechanical parts and must meet specific vision requirements, including distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as non-slip footwear, hair nets, and nitrile food-grade gloves must be worn at all times.
