About the position

The Cake Decorator at Nothing Bundt Cakes is responsible for applying frosting to cakes, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is essential in creating visually appealing cakes that enhance the customer experience. The position offers flexible scheduling with evening shifts and is part of a fun, upbeat environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals.
• Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer, and pastry bag to frost cakes.
• Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly.
• Ensure an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels.
• Adhere to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintain frosting and refrigeration logs.
• Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required.
• Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation, ensuring frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and wash any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee.
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Requirements

• Previous bakery experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work flexible hours including morning, midday, or evening shifts.
