About the position

The Chapter Area Lead Front-end development - WRB Tech is a leadership role focusing on people development & capability building in mobile. This role could be based in Singapore, India, China, and Malaysia. The position involves establishing a catalogue of user interface components, driving standardization of user interfaces, and proactively identifying reusable user interface assets. The role also includes ensuring consistency in design elements and layouts across different browsers, markets, and devices, as well as establishing processes for the adoption of upcoming mobile OS and web development standards. The Chapter Area Lead will oversee the execution of functional standards and best practices, provide thought leadership, and create a strategy roadmap to facilitate convergence of existing landscapes to reusable and standardized components.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a catalogue of user interface components and drive standardization of user interfaces.
  • Proactively identify reusable user interface assets and establish a delivery plan for them.
  • Ensure consistency in design elements and layouts across different browsers, markets, and devices.
  • Establish CI/CD pipeline for iOS, Android, HarmonyNext, and web development.
  • Oversee the execution of functional standards and best practices.
  • Provide thought leadership on the craft and inspire talent development.
  • Create a strategy roadmap for the convergence of existing landscapes to reusable and standardized components.
  • Manage capability development systems across the chapter area.
  • Review metrics on capabilities and performance across all chapters.
  • Work closely with back-end chapters to integrate front-end components with server-side logic and APIs.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience in leading digital technology teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Expert in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and knowledge of HarmonyOS Next.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience in hybrid mobile app development using Webviews and knowledge of Apache Cordova.
  • Experience in global diverse organizations in building overall capability and technical expertise.
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and techniques for building mobile-friendly web applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in industry benchmarking for technical skills.
  • Ability to articulate the overall vision for the Chapters and ensure upskilling of the organization holistically.
  • Experience in identifying skill gaps and mitigating risks to deliverables.
