About the position

The Calibration Technician position at Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) involves the calibration of mechanical inspection, measuring, and testing equipment primarily in the field at customer locations. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of various calibration equipment, contributing to ATS's mission of delivering assurance through precise technical services.

Responsibilities

• Calibration of mechanical inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
• Calibrating hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers, torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers, pressure gauges, temperature equipment, and force equipment.
• Performing basic mechanical and physical dimensional calibrations.
• Traveling on-site to calibrate equipment at customer locations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment calibration.
• Experience using mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Ability to work 40 plus hours per week to meet customer demands, including overtime.
• Must provide own cell phone with data plan for connection to ATS email and multi-factor authentication.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Clean driving record, background check, and drug screen.

• Military experience in calibration or related fields.
