About the position
The Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration of various types of equipment across multiple disciplines, including electronic test equipment, temperature measurement devices, pressure equipment, mechanical test tools, and miscellaneous test devices. The role involves following established procedures, collaborating with the Lab Manager and other technicians, maintaining calibration standards, and troubleshooting customer units.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate handheld electronic test equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, and voltmeters.
- Calibrate temperature measurement devices including thermometers and thermocouples.
- Calibrate pressure indicating and generating equipment like pressure gauges and vacuum gauges.
- Calibrate mechanical test equipment such as tapes, scales, and micrometers.
- Perform routine calibration and spot checks on test equipment used in the calibration process.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot customer units and report findings to the Lab Manager.
- Assist in the development of new calibration procedures as required.
Requirements
- Experience in calibration of electronic test equipment.
- Attention to detail and self-initiative.
- Strong desire to learn calibration procedures for new equipment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
