About the position

The Calibre Application Engineering Consultant role at Siemens Industry Software Inc. involves driving the adoption of the Calibre software products through both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities. The consultant will assess customer needs across various process nodes, prepare product specifications, deliver software demonstrations, and present solutions at conferences. This position requires collaboration with sales and marketing teams to understand business opportunities and contribute to technical sales plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of Calibre software products through technical support activities.
  • Assess how company products meet customer needs on various process nodes down to 7nm/2nm technology.
  • Prepare product specifications for customized applications in physical design and verification.
  • Develop and deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Present software solutions at conferences and technical forums to generate leads.
  • Perform benchmark evaluations for customers.
  • Collaborate with sales management and account teams to identify business opportunities.
  • Contribute to technical sales plans and communicate progress to peers and management.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support in presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Work with marketing and product managers to define new products based on field insights.
  • Establish strategies to broaden target applications for software products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 60 months of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineering related occupation.
  • Experience with at least one industry standard physical verification platform: Calibre, Synopsys ICV, or Cadence Pegasus.
  • Experience with Advanced (20nm or smaller) process node-based physical verification checking applications.
  • Experience with RC parasitic extraction and advanced parameters generation for sign-off and simulation flows.
  • Experience performing Calibre integration inside 3rd party design environments such as Cadence Virtuoso, Innovus, Synopsys Laker, or ICC2.
  • Experience using Calibre RealTime and RVE interface technologies.
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) technical sales process.
  • Experience working with Unix or Linux OS platforms.
  • Programming skills in TCL, C, C++, or Python.
