About the position

The Calibre QA/Test Engineer position at Siemens Industry Software Inc. involves working within the Calibre product software development team to ensure the quality and performance of software releases for the semiconductor industry. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to the testing, debugging, and qualification of software products throughout the release cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute functional and regression tests to measure software quality.
• Collaborate with senior software engineers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support to ensure timely product releases.
• Provide regression reports to partners in a timely manner.
• Develop procedures and tools to improve the QA process and assist developers with design trade-offs and risk analysis.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance processes and experience with maintaining regression test suites.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, Perl, Tcl, etc.).
• Exposure to EDA verification tools like Calibre DRC.
• Experience with C++.
• Experience with Calibre SVRF.
• Experience with VLSI design or layout tools.
