About the position

The Call Center Consultant position at 1st United Credit Union involves assisting members and potential members in a Contact Center environment. The role focuses on providing accurate information about member services, resolving inquiries, and directing contacts to appropriate areas within the Credit Union. The position emphasizes skill development and offers opportunities for learning about various aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members and potential members with inquiries received by phone, Banno Conversations, or e-mail in the Contact Center.
  • Answer questions regarding products and services and resolve problems within authority.
  • Refer issues beyond authority to a supervisor with recommended solutions.
  • Identify and present suitable products to enhance the membership experience and financial well-being.
  • Ensure appropriate records are maintained in the credit union's systems and prepare reports as needed.
  • Support departments outside of the Member Contact Center as needed, such as Digital Services, Lending, and Asset Recovery.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Excellent listening and telephone skills.
