About the position

The Customer Service Collections Agent at Somerpointe Resorts is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a collections call center environment. The role involves making outbound and receiving inbound calls to assist customers in managing their accounts, reminding them of their vacation product purchases, and helping them bring their accounts current. The agent must be solution-oriented and capable of meeting daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound and take inbound phone calls to customers.
  • Document customer interactions, conversations, and payment arrangements.
  • Meet daily call goals of 100 calls per day.
  • Negotiate payments via telephone and email.
  • Work weekends and holidays as required.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • 1 year of computer literacy required.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB, and FDIC regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Call center experience required.
