About the position

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist prospects and customers with the enrollment process.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information regarding eligibility requirements, enrollment procedures, and program benefits.
  • Assist customers in completing enrollment applications over the phone, ensuring all necessary information is accurately captured.
  • Verify customer information and documentation to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or supervisors for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions using designated systems or software.
  • Meet or exceed performance goals related to call quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on program policies, procedures, and updates to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or call center role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with challenging or irate customers.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
