The Call Center Nurse RN position at UnitedHealth Group involves providing remote healthcare support through a 24/7 inbound call center. Responsibilities
- Assesses and triages immediate health concerns
- Identifies problems or gaps in care offering opportunity for intervention
- Coordinates services and referrals to health programs
- Provides health education and coaches consumers on treatment alternatives to assist them in best decision making
- Supports consumers in selection of best physician and facility to maximize access, quality, and to manage health care cost
- Prepares individuals for physician visits
- Manages utilization through education
- Special projects, initiatives, and other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- RN Compact State Licensure
- Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (any clinical setting)
- Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office applications, and solid technical aptitude
- Ability to work rotating holidays as needed and a minimum of 1 weekend day per week
- Ability to work Monday-Friday during daytime hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CST for the first 6 weeks for training
- Designated work space and access to install secure high speed internet via cable/DSL in home
