About the position

The Call Center Nurse RN position at UnitedHealth Group involves providing remote healthcare support through a 24/7 inbound call center. The role focuses on assessing health concerns, coordinating services, and educating consumers on healthcare options to improve health outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Assesses and triages immediate health concerns
  • Identifies problems or gaps in care offering opportunity for intervention
  • Coordinates services and referrals to health programs
  • Provides health education and coaches consumers on treatment alternatives to assist them in best decision making
  • Supports consumers in selection of best physician and facility to maximize access, quality, and to manage health care cost
  • Prepares individuals for physician visits
  • Manages utilization through education
  • Special projects, initiatives, and other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • RN Compact State Licensure
  • Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
  • 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (any clinical setting)
  • Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office applications, and solid technical aptitude
  • Ability to work rotating holidays as needed and a minimum of 1 weekend day per week
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday during daytime hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CST for the first 6 weeks for training
  • Designated work space and access to install secure high speed internet via cable/DSL in home
