About the position

Dialog Direct, a Qualfon company, is seeking experienced Call Center Professionals who aspire to obtain an Insurance License (Personal Lines or Property & Casualty). This seasonal opportunity is part of our esteemed Pre-Licensing Training Program. Participants will receive compensation at a rate of $18 per hour during the Pre-Licensing training period. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the State Exam, candidates will be offered a full-time position as a Licensed Insurance Professional, with a pay rate of $23.50 per hour. The role is customer service focused, requiring individuals to engage with clients and assist them with their insurance needs. Training hours are from 9am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday, while production hours are from 11am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 9pm on Saturdays. This position is located onsite at our Headquarters in Highland Park, MI. Responsibilities

  • Complete an onsite Pre-Licensing Training program and pass a state insurance exam.
  • Field inbound communication (phone, email, chat, social media, etc.) from clients regarding their insurance needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of personal lines insurance to help members with quotes, new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract and coverage provisions, and premium changes.
  • Thoroughly understand the customer's need by asking clarifying questions to gather more information.
  • Utilize resources to conduct research and present the customer with a resolution.
  • Understand members' life events that may offer sales cues.
  • Correspond with customers, clients, insurance carriers, and internal sources to provide coverage information and policy recommendations.
  • Execute various client service transactions including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, or other tasks.
  • Complete carrier certifications to receive Ready to Sell Status for several insurance providers.
  • Adhere to performance metrics and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of contact center experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Once licensed, must be able to work an assigned 40 hour a week schedule between the hours of 7am-11pm Monday-Friday and 9am-9pm Saturday.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, articulate voice and listening skills.
  • Maintain member privacy.
  • Internet & research skills: ability to research and quickly become an expert in a variety of subjects.
  • Computer savvy and can resolve minor technical issues with minimal assistance.
  • Typing 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
  • Ability to critically think through situations and solutions.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, and at times, hectic environment while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and adhere to assigned schedule with minimal assistance.
  • At ease with multi-tasking in several computer applications at once while holding a conversation with a customer.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a Licensed Agent (Life/Health/Personal Lines/Property & Casualty/etc) preferred but not required.
