About the position

Are you looking to take a step up from your current customer service position and work for an Award Winning Contact Center? We are currently seeking candidates who are passionate about helping our business and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that ranks among some of the top scores in engagement in the industry. This position requires you to be on site at the call center located in Cleveland, TN Monday - Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays. As a Customer Service Representative, you will support our trade partners, consumers, and internal process partners via phone, chat, email or other technology for Whirlpool Consumer Services. The pay for this position is $14.50 per hour (pay not negotiable; not dependent on experience). Daily responsibilities include taking inbound calls, helping consumers resolve issues, providing basic troubleshooting information, and scheduling service while ensuring consumers are fully satisfied when the call is completed. Whirlpool offers a great work schedule with the hours of operation being Mon-Fri 8a-6p, no weekends, and 6 observed holidays. This is a temp to hire position that could potentially lead to opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Managing inbound calls, emails, or chats based on business needs while navigating through multiple computer systems and screens to help resolve consumer issues as well as document the consumer interaction as needed.
  • Helping consumers resolve issues, providing troubleshooting information, placing consumer initiated orders, and scheduling service while ensuring consumers are fully satisfied when the call, email or chat is completed.
  • Negotiate through and diffusing escalated consumer interactions by demonstrating soft skills and issue ownership.
  • Managing and maintaining your schedule through both Whirlpool and Randstad computer systems. This may include logging in and out, time off requests, and ensuring timecard accuracy.
  • Earn commission with the sales of extended service plans and accessories.
  • Multitasking while using different systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service required / 1 year of call center preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
