About the position
The Member Assistance Representative position at Mainstreet Credit Union serves as a vital link between the credit union and its members. This role involves managing a high volume of calls, providing exceptional service, and resolving inquiries while fostering long-term relationships with members. The representative will handle loan applications, provide information about products and services, and assist with various account-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Provides detailed information about Mainstreet CU loan products and processes loan applications by phone.
- Identifies opportunities to offer additional loan products and solicits members for their business.
- Resolves issues pertaining to member accounts and assists with fund transfers, loan payments, and online banking issues.
- Completes administrative duties related to MasterCard and Debit Cards, including processing claims for fraud and initiating chargebacks.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience in loan processing and/or teller administration preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of cross-selling techniques.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and call center terminology.
