About the position

The Customer Care Specialist position is a vital role within a newly established company focused on the fixed annuity space of life insurance. This role involves providing personalized support to customers through various digital channels, ensuring high-quality service delivery as the company prepares for its launch in Q1 2025. The position requires effective management of customer inquiries and complex cases in a fast-paced call center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to customers through phone, email, SMS, and online chat.
  • Effectively manage complex cases, document changes, and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Manage high call volumes and respond promptly to written and verbal inquiries while maintaining high performance metrics.
  • Leverage product expertise to provide tailored support and educate customers on self-service tools.
  • Complete clear documentation of all client interactions and requests.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and legal requirements specific to the insurance sector.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and vendor partners to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Utilize advanced AI tools to improve client interactions and enhance overall operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a contact center or customer service role within insurance or financial services.
  • Proven experience managing customer outreach and resolving issues effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Experience adapting to new technologies that enhance daily operations.
  • Comfortability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong experience with annuities, including distribution options and tax implications.
  • Experience with Verisk FAST.
