About the position
The Call Center Specialist PRN at Behavioral Health Connections is responsible for receiving calls from referral sources for psychiatric assessments and coordinating patient care. This role involves triaging calls, verifying insurance, and ensuring accurate documentation of all interactions. The specialist plays a crucial role in connecting patients with appropriate mental health services and facilitating their transfer to care providers.
Responsibilities
- Receive calls from referral sources for psychiatric assessment.
- Take demographic information on the person to be assessed.
- Dispatch a MAT Assessor for patient evaluation.
- Triage calls and facilitate referrals to appropriate outpatient services.
- Verify insurance information for patients.
- Perform data entry in multiple platforms such as SharePoint.
- Coordinate and facilitate the transfer of patients with behavioral health needs.
- Collaborate with remote assessors for next steps in patient care.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of related work experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services.
