About the position

As a CAM Application Engineer at GoEngineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical sales presentations, customer support, post-processor development, customer training and mentoring, and marketing content creation. Your expertise in CNC programming and machining will be essential in supporting and developing the CAM initiatives of our customers. You will be responsible for delivering multifaceted CAM solutions that integrate seamlessly within both the SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE platforms. This integration requires you to develop and maintain a broad set of skills that encompass Design, Manufacturing, and Governance. The CAM solutions offered at GoEngineer include CAMWorks, SOLIDWORKS CAM, and DELMIA CAM. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate software capabilities to prospects and customers, both in live settings and through web meetings. You will support the sales team with your product knowledge, demonstrations, solution strategies, and correspondence. Additionally, you will create marketing content such as videos, blogs, and webinars that showcase software features, capabilities, and industry trends. Maintaining industry certifications, such as CSWP and VAR certifications, will also be part of your responsibilities, along with visiting customer facilities to gain insights into their design and manufacturing processes. On the technical support side, you will provide post-sales support by troubleshooting and resolving customer issues via phone and email. Documenting customer issues and following up until a resolution is achieved will be crucial. You will also conduct technical training sessions, whether onsite, online, or in a classroom setting, and create or modify CAM post processors as needed. Your role will be integral in ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and training, enabling them to maximize the use of our CAM solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales presentations to prospects and customers.
  • Support the sales team with product knowledge and solution strategies.
  • Create marketing content such as videos, blogs, and webinars.
  • Obtain and maintain industry certifications (e.g., CSWP, VAR certifications).
  • Visit customer facilities to understand their design and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email to troubleshoot customer issues.
  • Document customer issues and follow up until resolution is achieved.
  • Conduct technical training onsite, online, or in a classroom setting.
  • Create and modify CAM post processors.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years' experience in CNC programming, 2.5 Axis or 3 Axis with an understanding of multi-axis and mill-turn.
  • Associates or Bachelors in a manufacturing or engineering field (preferred, but not required).
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, g-code, and CAD/CAM software required.
  • Experience with CAMWorks or similar CAM system preferred.
  • SOLIDWORKS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of wire EDM is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; self-starter.
  • Knowledge and experience in Engineering and Product Development processes and environments.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to mentor other team members.
  • Working knowledge of Windows environment and Microsoft Office products.
  • Willingness to travel.
