About the position
The Camera Car Driver/Investigator position at Capital Tax Recovery involves operating a vehicle equipped with license plate recognition cameras to identify and investigate unreported motor vehicles for tax compliance. This part-time role requires driving to various locations, primarily during night and early morning hours, and may lead to full-time opportunities for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities
- Drive to designated areas to operate a vehicle with license plate recognition cameras.
- Capture license plates mainly at night, early morning, and on weekends.
- Investigate complaints received from municipalities and residents.
- Offload and process the data obtained from the license plate recognition system.
- Assist with all other aspects of the business as needed.
Requirements
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet State of CT Private Investigator license/registration requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
