About the position

The Hardware Engineering Program Manager (EPM) for the Camera & Depth Sensing Team at Apple is responsible for driving the design, development, and integration of camera and depth sensing modules across Apple's product line. This role requires navigating uncertainties and leading complex decisions to deliver innovative technology to millions of users. The EPM will engage with various engineering teams to ensure module performance and timely delivery while managing risks and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive execution of build plans for multiple module integrators and component suppliers.
• Serve as the primary lead during module development and advocate for optimal module performance throughout the organization.
• Ensure camera and depth sensing modules are delivered on schedule.
• Engage in proactive risk management and communicate status and issues to the development team and Apple executives.
• Coordinate efforts of hardware, software, mechanical engineering, and operations teams to design, manufacture, and integrate camera and laser modules.

Requirements

• Knowledge of camera module design and/or camera key parts design and subcomponents.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• In-depth technical engineering knowledge to establish and manage project and operational KPIs, assess and drive technical risks, and challenge engineering decisions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple global contract manufacturers and vendors effectively.
