Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Organize and lead animal-related activities, including pet care demonstrations, training sessions, and grooming workshops.
• Assist campers in developing skills related to animal handling, care, and training.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp area, including cabins.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff to ensure a positive camp experience.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills related to animal care and customer service.

Requirements

• Strong background or experience in animal care, including knowledge of pet grooming, animal restraint, and handling techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with campers and their families.
• Experience or interest in working in a kennel environment is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback to campers.
• Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous but not required.
• A passion for caring and loving dogs.
