About the position

The Camp Property Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the usability, safety, and security of the Camp Robbinswold property and its facilities. This role involves assisting with maintenance activities, managing natural resources, and providing hosting services to site users. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call hours, to deliver a quality camp experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee property-specific site hosting processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate group orientation and facility training.
  • Coordinate on-site readiness process for events and user groups, including supervision of user groups.
  • Facilitate collaboration between GSWW event leads, the Site Reservation Manager, and on-site property staff.
  • Provide access to reserved facilities to site users.
  • Clean and restock facilities before and after site user check-in/check-out.
  • Respond to emergent maintenance requests.
  • Manage the scheduling, coordination, and training of volunteer camp hosts.
  • Provide on-call, overnight, and weekend coverage.
  • Carry out assigned maintenance tasks to ensure facilities, grounds, systems, and equipment meet health, safety, regulatory, and organization standards.
  • Provide supervisory support for DOC contracted labor, AmeriCorps crews, and volunteer maintenance groups and camp hosts.
  • Support the assessment and reporting of on-site safety and work progress according to DOC labor, AmeriCorps, and other grant contract requirements.
  • Provide after-hours response necessary for on-site incidents and emergencies, completing documentation per GSWW incident reporting procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining current site documentation, including maintenance logs, septic records, inventory, and invoicing as directed.

Requirements

  • Residency in Washington State is required.
  • Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule, including weekends, overnight, and on-call hours.

Nice-to-haves
