About the position

The Camping Sales Outfitter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in a retail environment. This part-time role involves greeting customers, assisting with product knowledge, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The Sales Outfitter will also handle merchandise, restock shelves, and promote various programs to enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Replenish product on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Remain knowledgeable about products through ongoing training.
• Maintain awareness of advertised sales and ensure proper pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal merchandise moves and restock as required.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying their needs and making product recommendations.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
