About the position

The Camping Sales Outfitter at Cabela's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in the camping department. This role involves greeting customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The Sales Outfitter will also maintain product knowledge, assist with merchandising, and promote various programs to enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
• Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Restock merchandise as required.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
