About the position

The Campus Director of Education & Operations at Porter & Chester Institute is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the campus. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, institutional, and programmatic accreditation requirements, which is essential for maintaining the integrity and quality of the educational offerings. The Campus Director will report directly to the President and CEO and will play a crucial role in coordinating instructional delivery, managing educational resources, and supporting student academic achievement and learning outcomes. In collaboration with the Vice President of Academics, the Campus Director will establish the educational agenda and develop an institutional assessment improvement plan along with related work plans. This role requires providing direction and support for Program Coordinators and faculty, working closely with Curriculum Development Coordinators to foster an environment conducive to learning. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, developing, and managing staff and faculty within the Education Department, ensuring that all team members are equipped to deliver high-quality education. The Campus Director will also collaborate with campus department leadership across various functions such as Career Services, Educational Funding, and Admissions to ensure a seamless and positive student experience. Monitoring student success and retention rates is a critical aspect of this role, as is the development, adaptation, and implementation of the curriculum. The Campus Director will demonstrate strong leadership and represent the Education Department within the assigned geographic region, overseeing daily campus operations including budgets, advertising, and staffing. Additionally, this position involves representing the campus and the organization in the external community, enhancing the institute's visibility and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall campus operations ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinate instructional delivery and manage educational resources to support student achievement.
  • Work with the VP of Academics to establish the education agenda and institutional assessment improvement plan.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage staff and faculty in the Education Department.
  • Collaborate with campus department leadership for Career Services, Educational Funding, Admissions, and other departments.
  • Monitor student success and retention rates, ensuring a high-quality classroom experience.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement the curriculum for educational programs.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and represent the Education Department in the assigned geographic region.
  • Manage daily campus operations including budgets, advertising, and staffing.
  • Represent the campus and organization in the external community.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' management experience in a postsecondary educational environment required.
  • Background with a Nursing program or experience in the Nursing field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of state regulations, accreditation standards, and Title IV regulations required.
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communication, with strong proofreading and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization and manage effectively in a remote and blended environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Keen analytical abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a trade school or vocational training environment.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design.
