About the position

The Technology Information Security Analyst III position at American Express is a full-time, entry-level role designed for recent graduates. The analyst will engage in various activities related to information security, including security investigations, compliance, and the development of best practices. The position emphasizes a proactive approach to cybersecurity, aiming to protect the brand and its stakeholders from potential threats while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities designed to systematically run information security, including security investigations and compliance oversight.
  • Act as the front line of defense against cyber threats, monitoring and responding to security events and incidents.
  • Drive risk reduction by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities across the company.
  • Deliver secure network solutions to ensure safe operations and availability of products and services.
  • Protect sensitive information from loss through monitoring and data loss prevention measures.
  • Manage identity and access to resources, ensuring proper authentication and authorization processes.
  • Implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Bridge the gap between cyber and IT risk, enhancing risk management processes and tools.
  • Develop machine learning models to identify potential cyber threats and enhance security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data-driven solutions for informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Master's degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge or awareness of information security, compliance, and assurance processes.
