About the position

The Campus Operations Manager at Sisu Youth Org is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sisu campus, which provides shelter, housing, and case management support to youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. This role involves ensuring a safe and respectful environment, managing logistics, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of Sisu's campus and housing inventory.
  • Coordinate with security, partner agencies, and volunteer groups inside the facility.
  • Ensure Sisu programs provide a safe, clean, respectful, and professional environment for clients, staff, partner agencies, and volunteers.
  • Lead the research, development, implementation, and continual updating of policies and processes that create equity and consistency in Sisu programming.
  • Collaborate with the Sisu leadership team on organizational direction and growth, program development, and continuous quality improvements.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager on inventory management and campus maintenance needs.
  • Ensure the completion of shelter and drop-in checklists.
  • Confirm daily and monthly cleaning tasks are completed.
  • Manage bus pass allocation and tracking.
  • Oversee the in-kind donation process and storage organization.
  • Collaborate with and train the on-site security team.
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator on meal availability and preparation, volunteer schedules, and activities.
  • Manage the campus activities calendar.
  • Track and report service data from partner agencies (DHS, OCCHD, OYSO, etc.).
  • Represent Sisu to the community with professionalism and commitment to enhancing the organization's community profile.
  • Participate in monthly on-call rotations with leadership staff.
  • De-escalate and assist with client crisis through a trauma-informed lens.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in a related line of work, including homeless services, program management, youth programming, facility management or similar.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing staff, logistics, budgets, and relationships.
  • Passion and understanding for disadvantaged youth who have a history of trauma.
  • Lived experience with homelessness or recovery from substance use or mental health diagnosis is preferred.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently - takes initiative & ownership of programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works within deadlines and scheduled timelines.
  • Has a customer service mindset that emphasizes attention to detail & client experience.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to an ever-growing and changing organization.
  • Able to independently solve problems and assist in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of racial equity and oppression and how systemic racism affects youth and young adults utilizing Sisu's programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of gender diversity and 2SLGBTQIA+ needs.
